About Emma Teresa
My name is Emma Teresa Pineda Fortin and I inspire the courage to re-define beliefs and speak up, resulting in higher clarity, creativity, and compassion. You have the power to define your reality.
I am a Latina with a PhD, former management consultant and COO of an e-commerce startup.
I am a recovering perfectionist, now embracing the "good enough" marker of success. Using my courage, I have experienced and successfully navigated drastic change: traumatic car accident, immigration to the US, lived in 6 different places (Honduras, Australia, Midwest, East Coast, South, West Coast), and transitioned from PhD to corporate America.
As a somatic coach, I bring my lived experience as a person of color, executive, scientist and yoga teacher. I show up ready to call out what needs to be said, truth-telling.
I named my company Guerrera de la Luz Leadership, which translates to Warrior of the Light Leadership. I don’t steer the ship for my clients, nor do I control the tides or the storms they face. Instead, I stand steady on the shore, offering light and presence that helps them orient, avoid hidden rocks, and find their own safe passage. My role is not to tell them where to go, but to illuminate what’s already within and around them, so they can navigate with trust in their own inner compass.
About You
You are a person of color or ally that feels stuck or restricted by your current life and work. You have tried therapy for a while, but still find that the freedom you desire is out of reach. You are tired of going with externally placed expectations and guidelines that don’t feel right. You are curious about connecting your head to your body (heart and gut) to fully feel into what truly matters to you.
You have a vision for your next steps, yet are still afraid to make them a reality. I will support you in facing the truth, your fears, and using your courage to experience the life and career you deserve. You long for a life that feels joyful, purposeful, and most of all FREE.
